Your yard is the first thing you see when you pull up to your house. You will have to walk through it to get into your home and once inside you will be looking out at it. It should look good in every season and at every time of day. It should also be functional and meet the needs of you and your family.
The word ‘garden’ can be a bit terrifying for some. There is this idea that you need to be a gardener to have one and that a garden is filled to the brim with plants and trees. Not so. I’ll use the term ‘garden’ instead of ‘landscape’ only because I find the former a bit warmer than the later.
To design the right garden space for you there are a number of considerations we need to look at. How do you want to use your space? How long are you planning on living in your home? Do you have children or pets? How much work do you want to do in your garden personally and how much will have to be done by a garden maintenance company? How much space have you got to work with and is it in the sun or shade?
Please read through the following questions carefully and answer all that apply to you. The more information we get the more tailored your garden will be to you and your family’s needs and the more enjoyment you will get out of it.
If a question does not apply or you have no opinion you may leave it blank.
