Edgewater Lane

This older home underwent a renovation that required removing the driveway and converting a garage into a master bedroom.  The home owners loved their previous garden and wanted to save as much of it as possible.  Because of some slope considerations with the front yard we had to find a creative way to keep the soil away from the house.  We designed a concrete retaining wall that wrapped around the front of the house with a floating concrete front entrance and a small sunken concrete patio off the master bedroom.  A dry riverbed runs under the floating walkway and wraps around the front of the house just inside the retaining wall. The home owners wanted to see as much green as possible so we installed a turf stone driveway that would allow ground covers to grow while giving them a solid surface to park their vehicles.  We selected plants that would thrive in moist, shady conditions with minimal care.
